The win was TCU's highest over a ranked team on the road and first win at Kansas
LAWRENCE, Kan. – A 17-point outing from Shahada Wells and 15 points from Mike Miles Jr. paced No. 14 TCU to an 83-60 win at No. 2 Kansas and its first win at Allen Fieldhouse.
It was the highest ranked road win by a TCU team in program history and the 23-point winning margin was the largest by the Horned Frogs on the road in 25 years.
A step-back jumper by Chuck O'Bannon Jr. gave TCU a 7-6 lead three minutes into the game. The Horned Frogs (15-4, 4-3) never trailed again.
A Miles layup was the last of 19-straight points by TCU to take a commanding 33-13 lead with 10:06 to play in the first half. The Frogs made 14 of their first 18 shots from the field and shot 58.6 percent from the field in the first half, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. KU (16-3, 5-2) responded late and cut its deficit to 10 points at the half, 48-38.
However, the Jayhawks never got to within single digits as the Horned Frogs scored nine of the first 13 points of the half. TCU pushed the lead to a game-high 25, 79-54, after Wells' third 3-pointer of the game with 3:40 to play.
TCU had its second-best shooting day of the season at 54.4 percent and held KU to 39.0 percent. The Frogs showed why they are the best in transition offense with 19 fastbreak points to the Jayhawks' four.
Damion Baugh joined the Frogs in double-figures with 11 points. Jalen Wilson led the Jayhawks with 30 points and seven rebounds.
TCU will host Oklahoma on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. It's a blackout game and fans are encouraged to wear black.

- Emanuel Miller had a team-high eight rebounds. It was his fourth time this season leading the team in that category.
