Horned Frogs open 2025-26 season at 4 p.m. on Thursday vs. Aggies
FORT WORTH – No. 17 TCU kicks off a three-game homestand to commence the 2025-26 campaign at 4 p.m. on Thursday when it welcomes North Carolina A&T to Schollmaier Arena.
The defending Big 12 champion Horned Frogs are the preseason favorites to top the league standings in both the coaches' and media polls.
TCU will win its 25th consecutive home game with a victory over the Aggies. The Frogs' 24-game home winning streak is the third-longest in college basketball, trailing only Florida Gulf Coast (37 games) and No. 9 NC State (35 games).
NC A&T fell 78-40 to Texas Tech on Monday in Lubbock in its season-opener.
The Aggies won the outright Coastal Athletic Association regular season championship in 2024-25, finishing with a 22-12 overall record and 15-3 mark in league play.

Olivia Miles
- The 5-10 graduate student enters her final season as the only returning player who has tallied at least 1,400 career points, 600 assists and 600 rebounds.
- Miles enters the 2025-26 season as the active D1 leader in career assists per game average (6.5), career assists (654) and triple doubles (six).
- She is also the lone D1 player with at least 25 career double-doubles and five triple-doubles.
- Additionally, Miles leads all D1 guards in career "15-5-5" games with 24.
- Miles has maintained a 2-1 assist-to-turnover ratio for the entirety of her career.
- Miles was named Big 12 Preseason Newcomer of the Year and to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.
- Miles is contending to become the fourth transfer point guard in five seasons to win a conference player of the year accolade under Campbell.
- Miles may also make TCU the first program in Big 12 history to produce the league's Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in the same season. Hailey Van Lith swept the accolades in 2024-25.
- Miles is the only three-time All-American on a Big 12 roster entering this season.
- Miles first represented TCU at the FIBA AmeriCup in July, helping USA Basketball win gold. She was one of 12 collegians and two from the Big 12 selected to compete.
- Miles averaged 7.1 assists, 6.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while connecting at a 53 percent clip from the field. She led the tournament in assist per game average and total assists (50).
- Suarez needs 23 points to reach 1,000 for her career.
- Suarez is the only men's or women's player who has competed in four Power Conferences when

- Bigby earned he starting nod in 24 of TCU's first 26 games in her first year in Fort Worth in 2024-25.
- TCU was 12-0 last season when Bigby scored in double figures.
- Bigby averaged a career-high 8.2 points per game during nonconference play last season.
- The 6-7 Basham ranks second only to UCLA's Lauren Betts among all returning D1 players in total blocks (83) and blocks per game average (2.6) from last season.
- Basham has seven games with at least four blocks to her name.
- Basham has finished with two-or-more blocks in 24 of her last 63 games played (38 percent) dating back to 2023-24.
- Sheffey led San Diego State in assists in 26-of-31 games in 2024-25.
- She scored in double figures 21 times last season.

- Bielefeld became the youngest player to ever compete for the German Senior National Team in June at age-17. She competed at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket Championship in June.
- Bielefeld, 6-4, helped Germany finish as the vice champion at FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket Division B in July. She averaged 10.9 rebounds, 8.9 points, 5.3 assists, 2.7 blocks and 2.4 steals per game and was one of five players named to the All-Tournament Team.
- Parker was graded the nation's No. 60 overall recruit and No. 6 player in Texas in the class of 2024 in the ESPN HoopGurlz rankings. She played 21 games for Texas A&M as a freshman before missing the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign due to injury.
- Standing 6'8 1/2", Portlock is the tallest player to ever sign with TCU and the third-tallest in all of D1.
- The Horned Frogs 106 points scored in their 22-point victory over North Carolina A&T on Dec. 30, 2006 are the ninth-most in a game in program history.
- Conversely, TCU's 84 points allowed were its second-most surrendered in a game in the 2006-07 season. The Horned Frogs went on to finish with a 21-111 overall record and reached the NCAA Tournament.
- Jeff Mittie was the head coach of the Frogs the last time TCU and North Carolina A&T faced off.

- Four Horned Frogs scored in double figures in their 2006 takedown of the Aggies. TCU Athletics Hall of Famer Adrianne Ross led the way with 23 points while Ashley Davis tallied 22. TCU benefited from 14 points from Hanna Biernacka and received 11 more from Danielle Nunn.
- Further unpacking the Horned Frogs' first-and-only triumph over the Aggies ... TCU outscored the Aggies 52-18 in the paint and forced 19 turnovers. The teams combined for 106 second half points, with TCU netting 55.
- Thursday's ballgame marks only the third time TCU has faced a team from the Coastal Athletic Association. TCU's most recent encounter with the CAA came all the way back on Nov. 29, 1997, when the Horned Frogs defeated William & Mary, 74-63, in the New Orleans Classic.
