
Fort Worth Standout Williams Signs with TCU

5-11 guard led Boswell High School to 2025 TX UIL 6A State Championship
FORT WORTH – Camille Williams is returning to the city where her basketball journey began.
TCU and head coach Mark Campbell announced the addition of Williams, a Fort Worth native who led Boswell High School to the 2025 TX UIL State Championship, to the Horned Frogs' 2026-27 roster.
Williams will be a second-year freshman and has all four years of eligibility remaining. She signed with Miami as the No. 36 overall player in the class of 2025 and No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas according to ESPN HoopGurlz. Williams utilized her redshirt season in 2025-26.
A 5-11 combo guard, Williams averaged 16.2 points, eight rebounds, 4.3 assists and three steals per game in her final season with Boswell HS. She is one of the most celebrated players in the city in recent memory. Williams helped deliver Boswell its first state title in 18 years her senior year. She was tabbed District MVP as a junior and senior and earned TABC All-Region and TGCA All-State accolades both years. Williams was also a two-time recipient of Star-Telegram Fort Worth-area Girls High School Basketball Player of the Year honors.
Williams is the sixth transfer player to sign with TCU during the portal cycle, all of whom are underclassmen. She joins a backcourt featuring fellow Power Conference products Bella Hines (LSU), Jadyn Wooten (Oklahoma State), Lanie Grant (North Carolina) and Avery Hjelmstad (Utah). TCU secured a pledge from Stanford stretch forward Lara Somfai to begin its roster remake.
The Horned Frogs' 2026-27 roster now stands at 11 players. TCU retained returning letter winners Clara Silva and Clara Bielefeld, along with redshirt freshman Sarah Portlock. The Frogs are also set to welcome freshmen Laura Vilcinskas and Jessie-May Hall.
