
Miller Leads Canada in Scoring at GLOBL JAM

Miller and Canada fell in the semifinals
FORT WORTH – TCU forward Emanuel Miller led Canada in scoring and rebounding at the inaugural GLOBL JAM this past week in Toronto, Canada.
The Scarborough, Ontario native went 2-2 at the event and averaged 16.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 52.3 percent from the field. TCU assistant Jamie McNeilly also served as an assistant at GLOBL JAM.
Breakout performances by Miller included 13 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-67 win over USA in pool play. Miller also had 25 points and five rebounds against USA when the two teams met in the semifinals. USA was made up of the entire Baylor men's basketball team. Brazil defeated USA in the gold-medal game.
It was the third time Miller competed internationally. In 2018, Miller averaged 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists while competing for Canada at the FIBA U18 Americas Championship.
In 2017, he led Canada to its first-ever gold medal at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup held in Egypt. McNeilly, who is a regular contributor to the Canadian national teams, was on the coaching staff of the championship team with Miller in 2017.
