
TCU Falls at No. 9 Texas Tech

Mike Miles scores 16 in his return to the Horned Frogs lineup
LUBBOCK, Texas - After leading nearly the entire first half, TCU fell at No. 9 Texas Tech, 82-69, Saturday at United Supermarkets Arena.
The Horned Frogs (16-6, 5-5) made six of their first 10 3-point attempts and built a 35-22 lead with just over five minutes remaining in the first half. The Red Raiders (19-6, 8-4) closed the half on a 15-5 run to cut the TCU lead to 40-37 at the break.
Texas Tech continued that momentum into the second half, forcing TCU into 13 turnovers after having seven in the first half. Tech built its largest lead of the game, 22 (78–56), with 5:43 remaining. The Horned Frogs held the Red Raiders without a field goal for the rest of the game and ended on a 13-4 run.
After missing the last two games due to injury, sophomore guard Mike Miles led the Frogs in scoring with 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting including two 3-pointers. As a team, TCU tied a season-high with 11 3-pointers. Damion Baugh made three from beyond-the-arc and also finished in double-figures with 14 points.
TCU is back at home on Tuesday against Iowa State. Tip is at 8 p.m. on ESPNU.
