
Noi Scores 30, Frogs Fall to Sooners

Noi Nails 8 Threes in Loss
NORMAN, Okla. – Sophomore Kouat Noi poured in a career-high 30 points, but the No. 25 TCU men's basketball team fell on the wrong side of 21 lead changes and lost 76-74 at No. 23 Oklahoma on Saturday.
OU led 15-9 early before the Frogs scored 13 unanswered, which included three-straight 3-pointers by Noi, to give TCU a 36-27 lead with 5:25 left in the half. TCU, which dominated on the glass in the half, 30-14, took a 43-37 lead into halftime.
Noi was 8-of-12 from 3-point range, which tied for the second-most made threes in TCU history. That performance kept the Frogs in the game as TCU overall struggled from the field and finished a season-low 34.7 percent from the field.
TCU led 60-55 with 6:24 to play before OU scored eight unanswered to take a 63-60 lead with 4:10 on the clock. After a technical foul by the Sooners, Desmond Bane made two free throws and then hit a 3-pointer to give TCU a 65-63 lead with 3:46 remaining. There were four ties and five lead changes the rest of the way.
Noi's eighth 3-pointer gave TCU a 71-69 lead with 2:27 to play, which ended up being the last time TCU held the advantage. The Frogs had the ball down two with 3.2 to play, but having to inbound the ball under OU's basket, the shot was a running 3-point attempt from about five feet beyond-the-arc by freshman guard Kendric Davis, which hit the front of the rim.
