•TCU started senior Neil P. Dougherty and juniors Brent Hackett and Neiman Owens at guard and junior Alvardo Parker and Kevin Langford ... It was the fifth time this season and fifth straight game TCU has used this starting lineup.
•With the win TCU moved to 8-2 at home this season ... TCU is now 38-46 all time in conference openers, including a 24-20 mark at home ... TCU had dropped five straight conference openers dating back to a Jan. 4, 2001 win over Hawaii (103-64) when TCU was a member of the WAC.
•TCU led the last 17:16 of the game after going on a 14-0 run to open the second half after trailing 33-28 at the half ... TCU also scored the last six points of the game.
•TCU trails the all-time series 3-7 against New Mexico and had lost three straight meetings ... TCU is 3-1 all-time against New Mexico in Fort Worth.
•By holding New Mexico to 52 points the Horned Frogs held their opponent under 70 for seventh straight game ... It is the first time TCU has done this since 1987.
•The 52 points by New Mexico were a season low for the Lobos ... UNM's previous low was 56 in a 72-56 loss on Dec. 23.
•For the game, TCU shot 47.7 percent from the field (21-44), including a 56.5 percent clip in the second half (13-23) ... The 47.7 field-goal percentage was TCU's second highest of the year, topped only by the 47.8 shooting percentage against Stephen F. Austin.
•Brent Hackett scored a season-high 20 points (6-10 shooting), one shy of his career high ... His 20 points put him in double figures for the fourth time in TCU's last six games ... In his previous two games, Hackett only had 12 points combined ... In the first half alone, Hackett had a team-high 11 points.
•Hackett also had a career-high seven rebounds.
•Alvardo Parker scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half and reached double figures for the fourth time in his last six games.
•Kevin Langford reached double figures for the fourth straight game with his 14 points ... ... Langford had just four points in the first half.
•Langford's three-pointer at the 19:01 mark of the first half was his first of the season ... He entered the game 0-1 from beyond the arc.
•Neil P. Dougherty matched his career high with six rebounds.
•TCU outrebounded the Lobos 37-25.
•TCU began the game on an 8-2 lead before New Mexico went on an 11-0 run to take a 13-8 lead.
•TCU opened the second half by scoring the first 14 points of the half to take their third lead of the game (42-33).
•TCU led by as many as 12 points in the second half for its largest lead ... New Mexico's largest lead was eight in the first half.
•TCU trailed New Mexico 33-28 at the half ... It was the first time TCU has trailed at the half since Nov. 29 when TCU trailed Texas Tech 38-24 at the break ... TCU had led five straight games at the half. TCU has led eight of 13 games on the season ... TCU has only trailed three times at the half this season (New Mexico, St. Mary's and Texas Tech).
