Joshua Chesney is in his first season as a graduate assistant for TCU men’s basketball.
Chesney is a 2026 graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where he averaged 6.6 points and 2.1 rebounds as a senior. He started the two NCAA Tournament games and scored a season-high 23 points in the first round vs. Whitworth. He left with a degree in communications.
Chestney started his playing career at Merrimack for the 2021-22 season and continued at St. Edward’s in 2022-23.
Chesney is from Corpus Christi, Texas where he earned all-state honors in 2020 and 2021 and was named All-South Texas MVP in 2021 at London High School. He ended his high school career with a program record setting 2,243 points, 1,189 rebounds, 152 blocks and 195 3-pointers.
