Frogs are back in action after a week-long break at the Cowboy Jamboree
STILLWATER, Okla. – Coming off a week-long break from action, TCU cross country is back on the road this weekend at the Cowboy Jamboree on Friday, Sept. 26, at 8:15 a.m. CT.
Last race, on the men's side Johnson Lagat placed second overall and Mohammed Kowa finished fifth overall leading the Distance Frogs to a third-place team finish. For the women, Anastacia Gonzales led the team with a time of 17:52.80 and notched her fastest 5K time of the season.
This is the first time that TCU has competed in the Cowboy Jamboree in 13 years. The last time the Frogs raced in Stillwater, the men finished 14th in the 8K in 2012.
The Distance Frogs will compete in their fourth race of the season at The Greiner Family Cross Country Course. It marks the first 6k of the season for the women, while the men will run their second 8k of the year. TCU will be racing against Boston College, BYU, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Rice, SMU and UC San Diego, among others.
