Will compete at FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup on Sept. 17-21
FORT WORTH – Taylor Bigby is back in the red, white and blue.
The 6-1 guard was named to the USA 3x3 Women's National Team and will compete at the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup on Sept. 17-21 in Xiong'an, China.
The selection marks Bigby's second national call-up of the summer. Bigby made her competitive debut with USA Basketball at the FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League in July. She helped Team USA finish first in the Americas Conference.
Bigby will look to earn her first gold medal and lead the USA to a repeat championship during her stay in the far east. Pool play runs
She is a part of a four-player roster that includes fellow collegians Kaety L'Amoreaux (Fairfield) and Zee Spearman (Tennessee) and WNBA guard Serena Sundell. Bigby was teammates with Spearman and Sundell during Nations League play.
Player selections were made by the USA Basketball 3x3 Women's Junior National Team Committee.
Bigby gained exposure to USA Basketball at 3x Nationals in May. She competed for TCU alongside Donovyn Hunter, Natalie Mazurek and Aaliyah Roberson.
The Las Vegas native is a key returner for the Horned Frogs ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. Bigby is one of three letter winners on the roster who made at least 20 starts for TCU during its run to a pair of Big 12 championships and an Elite Eight appearance last season. Bigby averaged two 3-pointers per game and increased her scoring average to a career-high 8.2 points per night during nonconference play. TCU is 12-0 in games when the redshirt senior scores in double figures.
TCU and Bigby open the season vs. North Carolina A&T on Nov. 6. The Horned Frogs will compete in the friendly confines of Schollmaier Arena nine times over the course of nonconference play. TCU's 24-game home winning streak is the third-longest in Division I basketball.
Tipoff times and broadcast designations for each game, along with the complete Big 12 schedule, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Season tickets are on sale through the TCU Ticket Office at 817-257-1849 or through GoFrogs.com.
