No. 5 TCU travels to last regular season matches
FORT WORTH – No. 5 TCU (23-5) travels to San Luis Obispo, Calif., to face off against four opponents: No. 7 Long Beach State, Pepperdine, No. 2 USC and one to-be-determined in the Center of Effort Challenge on April 12-13. The Horned Frogs will play a second match Saturday, which will be determined by performance in pool play.

FROG FOCUS
No. 5 TCU hits the road for its last regular season tournament. The Frogs are now 23-5 after finishing their fourth consecutive season unbeaten at home. TCU extended its home winning streak, which dates back to 2020, to 53 matches. Additionally, the team has posted nine ranked wins this season as the Frogs remained in the top five of the AVCA poll for six consecutive weeks.
Four Frogs had a perfect performance last weekend: Hailey Hamlett, Sutton MacTavish, Tara Patton and Morgan Williams.
Hamlett recorded her 75th career win on April 6 with a straight-set victory over Texas (21-17, 21-14) from the No. 1 spot. Her and teammate Sutton
MacTavish were awarded CUSA Pair of the Week for their performance at the TCU Invitational.
Ana Vergara garnered her 75th career win as well on April 6 with a straight-set victory over then-No. 11 Hawaii (21-15, 21-19) from the No. 2 position.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
No. 7 Long Beach State (21-5) split two matches earlier this week on April 9. The Beach were swept by No. 1 UCLA, but came back with their own sweep over CSUN. The last time TCU played Long Beach was in 2018 when the Frogs fell 4-1. In all-time matchups, the Horned Frogs trail the Beach 2-0.
Pepperdine (15-10) hosted the Waves Tourney on April 5-6. The Waves went 3-0 on the weekend, posting victories against Southeastern Louisiana (4-1), CSU Bakersfield (4-1) and UC Davis (4-1). The Horned Frogs have swept the Waves in each of the last three matchups (April 15, 2023), (March 31, 2023), (April 14, 2022). In all-time matchups, TCU trails Pepperdine 3-5.
No. 2 USC (24-3) posted a 3-0 weekend at the Pac-12 Invitational on April 5-6. The Women of Troy downed then-No.12 Arizona State (4-1), then-No. 2 Stanford (4-1) and then No. 7 Cal (3-2). This is the third matchup this season between TCU and USC. The Horned Frogs fell to the Women of Troy in both previous matches this season. In all-time matchups, TCU trails USC 1-8.
