TCU set to host two events in fall semester
FORT WORTH – TCU beach volleyball head coach Hector Gutierrez unveiled the program's 2026 fall schedule on Monday, which features a home-and-home contest with Texas along with another home invitational against two in-state foes.
The fall competitions precede the team's traditional spring season which will begin in late February. TCU's spring schedule will be released at a later date.
Of note, excluding the AVCA Pairs National Championships, fall competition centers around pairs competing in a round-robin format and there is not an official winner of the event named.
The Horned Frogs open on the road with a dual alongside Texas in Austin on October 3-4, and the Longhorns will return to Fort Worth on November 6-7. Last season, Texas advanced to the national semifinals.
TCU hosts its first of two home events on October 17 with the TCU Fall Invitational.
Pending qualifications, select TCU pairs will head to Huntsville, Alabama, to compete at the AVCA Pairs National Championships on November 6-8.
The Frogs look to continue impressive showings at the AVCA tournament, as TCU has placed in the top-four in each of the four previous tournaments, including a pairs national title in 2023. Last season, returners Sofia Izuzquiza and Stacy Reeves earned a bid and placed 21st after posting a 3-2 record.
