
Four Frogs Score Double Figures in Loss to Kansas

Tomi Taiwo scored a team-leading 19 points as TCU honors graduating class
FORT WORTH – Four Horned Frogs scored double figures in TCU's 84-61 loss to Kansas on Saturday afternoon in Schollmaier Arena. Tomi Taiwo led the Frogs with 19 points in TCU's final regular season game of the season.
The Rundown
TCU started off strong in the first quarter and led for most of the frame. Despite Kansas scoring first, TCU followed with a 10-2 scoring run to open the game. Five different Frogs contributed to the scoring, which started with Bella Cravens grabbing her own offensive rebound and scoring a layup for the Frogs' first bucket of the game. She tallied four of her seven rebounds in the first quarter.
The Frogs led until 1:25 remaining in the first quarter and ended the period trailing 17-16. TCU outshot Kansas from the field in the first period and outrebounded them 12-6.
TCU and Kansas traded leads in the second quarter. Lucy Ibeh scored six points in the period, including a driving layup to put the Frogs up 30-28 with 4:46 remaining.
Starting the third period down six, TCU struggled to score and was outshot by Kansas .692-.200. The Frogs ended the third period down 63-43, but continued to fight throughout the fourth period. Tomi Taiwo scored eight of her 19 points in the quarter, but Kansas' lead was too much for the comeback.
