The Horned Frogs meet 5 teams, including two ranked in the top-10, in Baton Rouge
FORT WORTH -- No. 2 TCU beach volleyball (19-0) travels to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, March 26-27 for the LSU Beach Invitational. The Horned Frogs are set to face ULM, No. 4 Florida State, Houston Baptist, Tampa and No. 6 LSU.

FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs are coming off another perfect home showing at the Fight in the Fort last weekend. TCU extended its home winning streak to 24 matches by taking four 5-0 sweeps over New Orleans, Arizona State, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and Louisiana Monroe. Last weekend was the second time in program history that the Frogs swept four opponents in the same weekend. It also marks the fourth time that TCU won both its matches, 5-0, in a day. The Horned Frogs won a total of 40 out of the 42 sets played last weekend.
Sophomores Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno, currently riding an 11-game winning streak, lead the Frogs at No. 1. The duo has already set two program records this season- career ranked wins by a paring (19) and career wins by a pairing (44). Hailey Brockett, primarily playing at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions also holds two program records- career individual wins at 68 and career ranked wins by an individual at 26 (set last season). Maria Gonzalez and Ana Vergara had a great weekend taking 8 out of their 9 sets played. The duo leads team in three-set victories with six. Rochelle Scott and Megan Muret saw the sand three times together last weekend and took all six sets with an average margin of victory of 8.3 points.

The last time the Frogs faced off against two top-10 opponents in the same weekend was the Outrigger Queens Cup earlier this season in Manoa, Hawaii. TCU took victories over No. 10 Hawaii, 4-1 and No. 9 Cal twice, both 4-1.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Louisiana Monroe enters play, 5-10, coming off a 1-4 showing at the Fight in the Fort last weekend. The Warhawks took down Stephen F. Austin 5-0 but suffered losses from New Orleans, 2-3, Arizona State, 0-5 and No. 3 TCU, 0-5. They have yet to beat a ranked opponent this season.
No. 4 Florida State, 12-3, travels to Baton Rouge off a 3-1 showing at the March to May in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The Seminoles took wins over No. 7 Grand Canyon, 3-1, No. 20 Tulane, 5-0 and No. 15 South Carolina, 5-0, but fell to No. 1 UCLA, 2-3. The last time they faced off against the Horned Frogs was on March 5 when the Frogs pulled out a 3-2 upset to hand FSU their first loss of the season.
Houston Baptist, 8-10, comes from Los Angeles, California off a 1-1 day of duals against No. 2 USC and CSU Bakersfield. The Huskies fell to the Trojans, 0-5, but beat the Roadrunners, 3-2. HBU has not beaten a ranked opponent all season.
Tampa enters the weekend 8-5 after a 2-0 day of duals in Lakeland, Florida. The Spartans beat Florida Southern, 4-1 and Jacksonville, 5-0, to close out a perfect day. Tampa's biggest win of the season was against No. 8 Cal Poly, 3-2, in their season opening weekend.
No. 6 LSU, 16-2, was in Gulf Shores, Alabama this past weekend for the March to May tournament. The Tigers met five ranked teams and delivered a 3-2 outcome. They took down No. 13 Georgia State, No. 7 Grand Canyon and No. 15 South Carolina all 4-1, but fell to No. 11 Florida Atlantic, 2-3 and No. 1 UCLA, 1-4. The last time the Horned Frogs beat the Tigers was in 2016; LSU leads the series 8-1.
