
TCU Falls in Final Minute at OSU

O'Bannon leads the Frogs with 13 points and Farabello scores a career-high 12
STILLWATER, Okla. - Leading by six with 1:33 to play, TCU was outscored 7-0 the rest of the way and dropped its first road game of the season, 57-56 at Oklahoma State on Wednesday in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Two free-throws by Francisco Farabello with 1:33 remaining gave the junior guard a career-high 12 points and gave the Horned Frogs (12-3, 2-2) a 56-50 lead. Off of an offensive rebound, a pair of free throws by OSU's Tyreek Smith cut it to 56-52 with 1:18 to play. Miles, who scored all eight of his points in the second half, missed a step back 10-footer before the Cowboys (10-7, 3-3) got to within one-point on a 3-pointer by Rondel Walker on another offensive rebound.
A fast-break layup attempt by JaKobe Coles was blocked by Smith, which gave OSU possession trailing 56-55 with 20 seconds to play. Miles fouled Walker, who hit both free throws, with 4.8 seconds remaining to give the Cowboys its first lead since the 12:10 mark of the second half. A 3-point attempt at the buzzer by Damion Baugh was off target and the Frogs snapped a two-game winning streak in Stillwater.
TCU outrebounded OSU 44-33, but was hampered by a season-high 22 turnovers to just 11 by the Cowboys.
Chuck O'Bannon led the Frogs with 13 points. His last bucket was a dunk that gave TCU its biggest lead of the game, 54-45 with 3:16 to play.
TCU continues on the road on Saturday at No. 15 Iowa State at 3 p.m. on ESPN2.
