Preview: Horned Frogs Challenge
FORT WORTH – The TCU Beach Volleyball team is set to host the Horned Frogs Challenge, beginning this Friday, Feb. 28-29.The field includes Texas A&M - Kingsville, Nebraska and Abilene Christian. On Friday, the Horned Frogs will face Texas A&M - Kingsville at 11:30 a.m. (CT) and Nebraska at 4:00 p.m. Saturday begins with a match versus Abilene Christian at 9:30 a.m. and concludes with a 2:00 p.m. match against Nebraska.
TCU Notables
The Horned Frogs went 2-2 at the Seminole Beach Bash last weekend, including a top-25 win over No. 13 South Carolina and 5-0 sweep over ULM. The third pair of Taylor Bradley and Trinity Cavanaugh went 3-1, including two three-set wins, helping earn victories for TCU.
The Competition
Texas A&M - Kingsville finished 2019 with a 19-13 record. The Horned Frogs have a perfect 3-0 record against the Javelinas.
Nebraska ended its 2019 campaign 12-12. However, they come into the weekend 3-0 with two of those victories coming as 5-0 sweeps. The Horned Frogs and Huskers have never faced off in a match.
Abilene Christian begins its third season this weekend. TCU and ACU have yet to go head-to-head.
