THE GAME
• The TCU Horned Frogs (10-2, 1-0) will host the Texas Tech Lady Raiders (11-1. 0-1) in its Big 12 home-opener this Wednesday, Jan. 8, in Fort Worth.
• Tip-off between the Horned Frogs and Lady Raiders is set for 6:30 p.m. inside Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena.
• TCU and Texas Tech will meet for the 55th time, with the Lady Raiders holding a 42-12 advantage in a series that dates back to 1980.
• TCU is 4-3 all-time in Big 12 home openers, which includes a 1-0 mark against the Lady Raiders (2018).
FROG FAST BREAKS
• TCU is coming of a 65-63 upset win on the road at No. 25-ranked Texas, this past Friday in Austin.
• The Horned Frogs managed to defeat Texas in Austin for the first time ever in program history, while moving to 4-10 against the Horns since joining the Big 12.
• The win marked TCU's first win over a top-25 ranked team this season, the first win over a top-25 team overall since Feb. 13, 2019 (#18 Iowa State), and its first top-25 road win since Jan. 13, 2018 (at #15 West Virginia).
• The victory moved TCU to 3-5 overall in Big 12 openers and 2-2 in those games that came on the road.
• TCU defeated a top-25 ranked team for the seventh time overall under head coach Raegan Pebley.

SCOUTING TEXAS TECH
• Texas Tech is coming off its first loss of the season, after falling 96-66 at home to Iowa State this past Friday.
• Prior to the loss, the Lady Raiders had an unblemished non-conference record of 11-0, which included a 9-0 home record and 1-0 marks both on the road and on neutral courts.
• Head coach Marlene Stollings is in her second season at the helm of the Lady Raiders, where she has tallied a 25-18 record in Lubbock.
• Brittany Brewer leads a quartet of players averaging double figures on the season, with a 16.7 points per game average.
• Brewer is followed by Alexis Tucker (14.9), Lexi Gordon (14.5) and Chrislyn Carr (13.3).
• Brewer also leads the team with 10.4 rebounds per game, to average a double-double on the season. Her seven double-doubles on the season ranks fourth in the league and No. 16 in the nation.
• Brewer also leads the team, the Big 12 and the nation with 69 blocked shots.

• Lauren Heard and Yummy Morris led the way with 16 points each.
• TCU trailed by as many as 15 points late in the third quarter, but came all the way back to get within a point of the Blue Raiders late in fourth quarter.
• Despite the comeback, TCU would not be able to take a lead and MTSU's game-opening 14-0 run proved too much for the Frogs.
