Frogs set for foreign tour from Aug. 10-15
FORT WORTH – TCU women's basketball is taking its talents to the Great White North.
The Horned Frogs are set to visit Toronto, Ontario from Aug. 10-15 and will play a pair of exhibition games during their stay in Canada's largest city.
TCU last embarked on a foreign tour in August of 2023, when the program ventured to Costa Rica ahead of head coach Mark Campbell's inaugural year.
The trip affords the Frogs, whose roster includes 10 newcomers, expanded practices and invaluable team bonding as the summer workout draws to a close.
Ahead of Campbell's fourth season, TCU returns three players from a 2025-26 team that finished with a 32-6 overall record and the No. 6 year-end national ranking. Clara Silva, who started every game at center last season a was tabbed MVP of the FIBA U20 EuroBasket in July, is back as are sophomores Clara Bielefeld and Sarah Portlock.
Though the Horned Frogs feature a litany of new faces, their depth is ample.
All six of TCU's transfer players are former ESPN top-50 recruits, a group that includes All-Big 12 point guard Jadyn Wooten, Lara Somfai, the ACC freshman rebounding record-holder, and 2025 ACC All-Freshman Team honoree Lanie Grant. The three players averaged a combined 44 points, 18 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game in 2025-26.
TCU also brought in a trio of first-year players from overseas in guards Claudia Contell (Spain) and Jessie-May Hall (Australia) and center Laura Vilcinskas (Belgium).
Behind Campbell, TCU has tallied the fifth-most victories (87) of any Division I program and notched 20 AP Top 10 rankings over the last three seasons. TCU enters the 2026-27 campaign as the only repeat undisputed conference champion at the Power Conference level. The Frogs are also one of six programs riding consecutive Elite Eight appearances.
