Horned Frogs continue three-game home stand with Sunday matinée

FROG FAST BREAKS
• TCU will host the Cornell Big Red in non-conference action this Sunday, Nov. 10. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena.
• Head coach Raegan Pebley is in her sixth season at the helm of the Horned Frog program. Pebley has compiled a record of 96-71 on the sidelines in Fort Worth, while donning an overall record of 252-246 in 17 seasons.
• TCU is in the midst of a three-game home stand to open the 2019-20 campaign. The three-game home stand is tied for the second-longest home stand to begin the season under Pebley. The Horned Frogs opened the 2016-17 season with four consecutive home dates.
• TCU won its season-opener, 66-61, against Robert Morris this past Tuesday. The Horned Frogs won its sixth-straight season-opener under coach Pebley and for the seventh straight time overall. TCU is now 17-3 in season-openers dating back to the 2000-01 season.
• Senior Jayde Woods notched her first career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Junior Lauren Heard poured in 20 points for the Horned Frogs, as well.
THE GAME
• TCU (1-0) continues its season-opening home stand hosting Cornell (0-0) on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Horned Frogs and Big Red are set to tip-off at 1 p.m.
• Sunday's game promotion is TCU Dollar Days. General admission tickets will be priced at $1 each and concession stands throughout the concourse will have $1 deals on drinks, popcorn and peanuts.

• Sunday's contest will be live-streamed on Horned Frogs TV (HFTV). Fans can also listen in to the radio broadcast on KTCU (88.7 FM), with Jeff Williams calling the action.

SCOUTING CORNELL
• Cornell will make its 2019-20 debut on Friday, Nov. 8, matching up with Albany on the road.
• The Big Red will then continue its two-game road swing with a trip to Fort Worth to face the Horned Frogs.
• Cornell is coming off a 2018-19 season where they went 12-14 overall and 6-8 in the Ivy League. The Big Red finished in a tie for fourth place in the league standings.
• Cornell returns all five starters and a total of nine letterwinners from last season's squad.
• Laura Bagwell-Katalinich returns to the team as last season's top scorer (16.1 ppg) and rebounder (7.9 rpg). Samantha Widmann also returns as the team's second-leading scorer (10.8 ppg).
• Cornell head coach Dayna Smith is in her 18th season at the helm of the Big Red women's squad. She heads into this week's set of games with an overall record of 188-277.
SERIES HISTORY
• TCU and Cornell will meet for just the second time overall and the first time since opening the series back on Jan. 2, 2006.
• The Horned Frogs took the series-opening win from the Big Red, 74-52, which was played in Fort Worth.
• Sunday's contest will mark the eighth game that TCU has played against an Ivy League opponent. The Horned Frogs are 5-2 all-time against the Ivy League.
• The Frogs current streak against an Ivy League squad is at one loss, having been defeated by Yale back in the 2017-18 campaign.
LAST TIME OUT
• TCU opened the 2019-20 season with a home win over Robert Morris. The Horned Frogs won the contest 66-61.
• TCU led by two points at the break and then trailed by three points after three quarters of play, but used an 11-4 run to recapture the lead and eventually put away the Colonials.
• Senior Jayde Woods led the way, posting career-highs in both points (20) and rebounds (10). She also notched her first career double-double in the victory.
• Junior Lauren Heard notched the third 20-point game of her career, as she matched Woods with 20 points, as well.
• Senior Kianna Ray rounded out the double-digit scoring efforts with 12 points. Ray's biggest play of the game came with 11 seconds remaining in the game as she registered a steal-and-score to secure the win for the Horned Frogs.
• RMU out shot the Horned Frogs, .442 to .385 from the field, but TCU's defense forced 22 turnovers that also led to 19 points on the offensive side of the court.
• TCU's 13 steals led to 19 Horned Frog fast break points.
