NEXT UP ON THE TCU DOCKET
* TCU (15-9, 9-4) faces its ninth nationally-ranked opponent of the season on Saturday afternoon when the Lady Frogs take on the No. 19/18 BYU Cougars (21-3, 11-2). The Cougars edged the Frogs 67-64 earlier this year in Fort Worth. A victory would be TCU's fourth in a row and would match the longest winning streak of the season. In addition, a win would give head coach Jeff Mittie his 300th career triumph.
LAST TIME OUT FOR TCU AND BYU
* The Lady Frogs recorded their second straight blowout win on Wednesday night in Fort Worth, downing Colorado State, 83-57. It was the third straight time that TCU hit the 80-point plateau after reaching that mark just once in the season's first 21 games. TCU drained a season-high 10 3-pointers on the night and led 46-22 at intermission.
* BYU cruised to a 67-49 victory at San Diego State Wednesday to hang on to first place in the highly competitive Mountain West Conference. Two Cougars, Ambrosia Anderson and Dani Kubki, logged double-doubles in the contest. BYU shot nearly 50 percent from the floor while holding San Diego State under 33 percent.
THE TCU-BYU SERIES
* BYU holds a 4-2 edge in the all-time series after taking the season's first contest, 67-64, in Fort Worth on Jan. 25. TCU is 1-1 all time on the road against the Cougars, earning a win in the most recent trip (79-74 on Nov. 29, 2003).
* Five of the six lifetime meetings have been decided by eight points or less. Each of the last three has been determined by five points or less.
