Horned Frogs grab gritty road victory
STILLWATER, Okla. – With their backs against the wall at numerous points during the match, the TCU women's tennis team delivered a gutsy 4-3 win against Oklahoma State on Friday night at Greenwood Tennis Center.
TCU (12-2, 6-1 Big 12), continues its dominant season by picking up its sixth conference victory in a tough road environment. After grabbing a resilient doubles point, the Frogs were able to survive a momentum switch by 26th-ranked Oklahoma State to grab the 4-3 triumph.
Today marks TCU's first win over Oklahoma State since the 2012 season. The Frogs last defeated the Cowgirls on the road in Stillwater, and this is the second occurrence in the 21st century where TCU has defeated Oklahoma State.
DOUBLES RUNDOWN
For the second straight match, TCU would earn a decisive tiebreak victory to clinch the doubles point and claim an early advantage.
Raquel Caballero Chica and Jennifer Jackson got the winning started, picking up a 6-1 result against Melisa Ercan and Karolina Lincer.
Oklahoma State would follow with a victory on court one as the No. 12 pairing of Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp would defeat Victoria Gomez O'Hayon and Yu-Chin Tsai, 6-4.
On a decisive court two doubles matchup, Cayetana Gay and Tomi Main clutched out a 7-6(6) triumph to sway the early momentum in favor of TCU.

Order of Finish: 3, 1, 2
SINGLES RUNDOWN
Singles play was filled with two swings of momentum and saw the match go down to the very final court. After the Cowgirls had to forfeit court six, TCU would head into singles with a 2-0 lead and only needing two courts to clinch the match.
However, the first three courts to finish were all claimed by Oklahoma State over the course of the first two hours of singles. The Cowgirls picked up a trio of singles wins on courts three, five and two in chronological order to shift the tide and put the Frogs in a difficult spot.
With Oklahoma State leading 3-2, it was do or die time for the Frogs and the squad had their backs against the wall. Caballero Chica, ranked No. 75 nationally for singles in the latest ITA poll, took down 74th-ranked Olivia Lincer to even up the score and send the match to a winner-take-all moment on court four.
With the match now tied at 3-3, Tsai, a mainstay in the lineup who was playing after missing the past few matches, came through to give the Frogs the win and clinch the match. The senior put together a gritty 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 performance that would end the match.
