
Rifle Opens Campaign at Navy

FORT WORTH – For the fifth straight season, the TCU women's rifle team will open its season at Navy on Saturday where it will face Navy, VMI and the VMI women's only team. TCU enters the 2025-26 campaign ranked No. 3 in the nation. Navy is also ranked in the top-10, checking in at No. 9.
The match is slated to get underway at 8 a.m. (CT) at Bancroft Hall Rifle Range. It will feature two smallbore relays and two air rifle relays.
The Horned Frogs, coming off their 19th straight appearance in the NCAA Championships, return all five athletes that competed for the title. In total, the Frogs return nine shooters from a year ago and welcome three newcomers.
Making the trek to Annapolis will be Marissa Fedora, Micah Hames, Christina Hillinger, Mikole Hogan, Mackenzie Kring, Rylie Passmore, Brooklyn Reames, Alexandra Rosenlew, Ziva Swick and Katie Zaun.
Zaun is the reigning CRCA Rifle Athlete of the Year. She ranked in the top two nationally in both disciplines while leading the nation in aggregate average (1,189.00). Hogan ranked in the top 15 nationally in smallbore average and finished the campaign 17thnationally in aggregate average (1,182.83).
Hames looks to take another step forward in her second season with the Frogs after earning a spot in the National Championship match. She set personal bests in both disciplines a year ago.
A quartet of sophomores saw significant action on the line in 2024-25. Hillinger saw action as a counter in all 15 matches while Passmore was a counter in 14. Fedora was a counter in nine smallbore matches and shot in 14 matches. Swick also contributed as a counter in six matches.
The trio of Kring, Reames and Rosenlew will make their collegiate debuts this weekend.
Navy returns three of its top five shooters from a year ago. The squad's leader in Isabella Baldwin is back for her senior campaign after pacing the squad in both disciplines, averaging a 587.4 in smallbore and a 596.2 in air rifle.
VMI will send a co-ed team as well as a women's only team to Navy. A trio of returning shooters, Kyle Kemp, Elizabeth Stann and Wuyue Xie gained some national shooting experience in the off-season shooting at the Junior Olympics.
