
Rifle Earns 20th Consecutive Championship Berth

FORT WORTH – The TCU rifle team earned its 20th consecutive trip to the NCAA Rifle Championships after another outstanding regular season campaign. TCU secured its NCAA berth with a strong performance at the NCAA Qualifier against Air Force, posting an aggregate score of 4,741.
TCU will be seeking their fifth NCAA Championship March 13-14 at Corvelli Center in Columbus, Ohio. TCU enters the NCAA Championships following another strong season, finishing with a team aggregate average of 4,737.93, ranking second nationally. TCU sits third nationally in air rifle average (2,383.33) and second nationally in smallbore average (2,354.60).
Led by standout performer Katie Zaun, the Frogs aim to build on their championship legacy, having previously won four NCAA team titles (2010, 2012, 2019, 2024) and multiple individual and discipline championships. Zaun, ranked No. 3 nationally in smallbore and No. 7 in air rifle, headlines a talented TCU lineup that also features plenty of experience.
Hogan brings past championship experience, having competed in three during her career.A trio of sophomores, Marissa Fedora, Christina Hillinger and Rylie Passmore, have served as counters at various points during the season. Hillinger and Passmore competed at the championships as freshmen in 2025. Freshman Alexandra Rosenlew has had a strong start to her collegiate career.
Passmore ranks in the top 20 individually with an aggregate average of 1,182.87, while Rosenlew is in the top 25 with her season average of 1,181.52. Passmore is also one of the top smallbore shooters, ranking 13th nationally with a season average of 588.6. Rosenlew is also top 20 with a season average of 587.31.
Alaska Fairbanks, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Navy, Georgia Southern, and Nebraska round out the field of eight.
