
Miles Wins Gold Medal at FIBA AmeriCup

5-10 guard led the tournament in assists and assists per game
SANTIAGO, Chile – Olivia Miles is officially a two-time FIBA gold medalist.
The TCU guard helped Team USA win the FIBA AmeriCup championship on Sunday in Santiago, Chile.
Miles paired a game-high nine assists with eight points to lift the Americans to a 92-84 win over Brazil in the first-place game.
She averaged 7.1 assists, 6.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while connecting at an efficient 53 percent clip from the field across Team USA's unbeaten run. Miles led the tournament in assists per game and total assists (50).
Miles dished out 10 dimes in a 103-48 victory vs. Mexico on Wednesday to conclude the group phase. Her 10 assists were the most ever by an American player in the event.
A product of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Miles first captured gold in 2019 as a member of the USA U16 Women's National Team that triumphed at the FIBA Americas Championship in Puerto Aysén, Chile.
Behind Miles, USA Basketball won its fifth FIBA AmeriCup gold medal and first since 2021. Team USA also secured a berth to the to the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup in Berlin, Germany.
Miles transferred to TCU from Notre Dame in April. She was a two-time All-American and three-time All-ACC first team selection. Miles averaged 14.2 points, 6.5 assists and six rebounds per game over three-and-a-half seasons on the court for the Fighting Irish. She is the active D1 leader in career assists per game average (6.5), career assists (654) and triple doubles (six) ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
