FORT WORTH - TCU men's tennis sophomore Duncan Chan has been selected as the Big 12 Player of the Week.
Chan went 4-0 last week and played a crucial role in clinching a share of TCU's ninth Big 12 Championship.
Chan and doubles partner Albert Pedrico went 2-0 and clinched the doubles point in both the Oklahoma State match and the Texas Tech match.
Against Oklahoma State, the pair took down Ian Bracks and Thomas Gadecki, 6-4. In Lubbock the tandem defeated Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri, 6-3. The duo is now 9-3 on the season.
In singles, Chan rolled on court six for the Frogs against Oklahoma State as he took down Gadecki in straight sets winning, 6-0, 6-4. Chan followed up that effort with another straight set victory over Texas Tech's Felipe Pagnacco, 6-4, 6-1. Chan improved to 8-3 in singles action and is on a four match win streak.
No. 2 TCU is back in action on Wednesday as it hosts No. 66 SMU at 5:30 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
