Horned Frogs blank Wildcats 4-0, capture 10th Big 12 title
LAKE NONA, Fla. – In a rematch with regular season champion Arizona, the Horned Frogs offered a stern reminder why the Big 12 Conference runs through Fort Worth.
No. 3 TCU battered the ninth-ranked Wildcats 4-0 on Saturday in the Big 12 Tournament final at the USTA National Campus.
The Horned Frogs (21-5) captured their fourth Big 12 Tournament championship and first since 2023. TCU took home its 10th Big 12 regular season or tournament title in as many completed seasons, all of which have come under the leadership of head coach David Roditi. The shutout signified the Frogs' 23rd all-time conference championship.
By virtue of the result, TCU locked up the league's automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament and notched its 36th berth in program history. The Horned Frogs are all-but-certain to earn a top-three seed in the Big Dance and hosting rights through Super Regional weekend.
Arizona (21-4) entered the championship clash riding a 16-match winning streak. The unbeaten run included a 4-0 victory over the Horned Frogs on March 22 in Tucson.
But with TCU at full health and on a neutral court looking for revenge, the Horned Frogs proved the better team.
TCU lost just two sets all dual. The Horned Frogs secured the doubles point via a 7-5 clincher from freshmen Oliver Bonding and Maximus Dussault over No. 47 Cole Stelse and Alejandro Arcila at the bottom. A sweep of the opening singles sets followed. Duncan Chan, Bonding and Roger Pascual completed the clean slate with convincing wins on courts one, four and six.
Bonding was crowned Most Outstanding Player following the conclusion of play. The freshman pitched a 4-0 tournament record over the course of the Frogs' shutout victories vs. the Wildcats and No. 11 Baylor. Bonding, from London, England, clinched the doubles point and was the first player off the court in both matches. He widened TCU's advantage over Arizona to 2-0 via a 6-2, 6-3 triumph over No. 83 Zoran Ludoski on court four.
Arizona's strongest point entering the affair undoubtedly was No. 1 singles, a spot reigning ITA All-American Championships medalist Jay Friend helms. TCU's Duncan Chan drew the unenviable task and responded by earning the biggest win of his career, taking down the nation's No. 4 ranked player 6-4, 6-3.
TCU had clinching opportunities on courts two, five and six, but it was Pascual who crossed the finish line first. The lefty secured his second match-clincher in as many days, downing Arcila 6-2, 6-4.
The Horned Frogs will enter the NCAA Tournament as the hottest team in the country. Saturday's victory signified the Horned Frogs third consecutive top-15 win and 10th over a team presently featured in the top-20 of the ITA rankings. The Frogs stretched their winning streak to eight matches and have now claimed 13 of their last 14 duals since the calendar turned to March.
TCU widened its lead in the all-time series with the Wildcats to 6-2.
Doubles Rundown
For the second straight afternoon, the ITA No. 1 ranked doubles team of Chan and Cosme Rolland De Ravel suffered a 6-3 defeat.
Yet TCU, now winners of 22 of a possible 26 doubles points this season, found a way to overcome a surprising setback.
The prowess of Albert Pedrico and Cooper Woestendick set the tone for shutout.
The sophomore tandem bageled Friend and Sasha Rozin on the 2-line and permanently put Arizona on its back foot.
The doubles point was in turn decided on court three, where Bonding and Dussault twice broke. The all-freshmen tandem first assumed a 3-1 lead and went in front for good tied at five games all. The lefty Dussault served out the match for the second consecutive afternoon.
Chan and Rolland De Ravel narrowly missed a winner on a deuce point trailing 3-5.
TCU is now 22-2 on the year when capturing the doubles point.
Pedrico and Woestendick picked up their 10th joint victory since joining forces on March 7, when TCU downed top-ranked Texas 4-1 in Austin.
Dussault continues to lead TCU in wins on the 3-line with nine while Bonding notched his team-leading 13th dual doubles victory.

Singles Rundown
Bonding again was the Horned Frogs' ace in the hole.
He put the first set on the board and broke tied at three games all with Ludoski on the way to his second career ranked win. Bonding also avenged an earlier loss in Tucson.

Pedrico was up 6-3, 5-2 on court five vs. Sekachov while Woestendick put a 6-4 first frame on the board opposite the 93rd-ranked Rozin in the third position.
Chan was the last player to finish in set one, using a late break on a deuce tied 4-4 to essentially nullify all hope for the Wildcats.
Pascual tallied his team-leading 13th dual singles victory.
The victory over Friend was Chan's 15th over a ranked opponent in 2025-26 and the highest of the junior's career.
