No. 2 TCU looks to continue 11-match win streak
BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 2 TCU beach volleyball heads into another competitive weekend, traveling to LSU's Death Volley Invitational March 28-29. The Horned Frogs will go head-to-head against teams all in the AVCA Coaches Top 10: No. 5 Stanford, No. 9 LBSU, No. 4 USC and No. 1 UCLA.
After holding four weeks in the top five, TCU finds themselves in the top two in the fifth week of the AVCA rankings - the highest they've been since the preseason. The Frogs have held two perfect weekends in a row, highlighted by Tania Moreno garnering 100 career wins (March 7), hitting 57 match wins in a row at home (March 8), Anete Namike garnering 75 career wins (March 16) and the Frogs' second win in program history against USC (March 18).
Coming into this weekend TCU holds a record of 12-3 on the season, marked by five sweeps and 10 ranked wins. Additionally, the Horned Frogs lead the pack in the Big 12 Conference rankings.
Sofia Izuzquiza and Allanis Navas are currently on an 8-0 run from the No. 3 spot. They're followed by Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara who currently are 7-0 from the No. 4 spot.

Scouting the Opposition
No. 5 Stanford (13-5) travels to La. after hosting their second home tournament (March 14, 15). The Cardinal garnered four wins by sweeping every team that traveled to the Bay: TAMU-CC twice, SMC and Utah. In the all-time series TCU holds the lead 4-2.
No. 9 LBSU (15-5) went 5-1 at the Big West Challenge (March 21-23), sweeping CSUN, UC Davis, and Sacramento State. They also secured 4-1 wins over CSU Bakersfield and No. 17 Hawaii but fell 4-1 to No. 6 Cal Poly. TCU trails in the all-time series 2-1.
No. 4 USC (15-4) went 4-0 at the FAU Beach Invitational (March 16, 17) downing Florida Gulf Coast, No. 15 Stetson, No. 13 FAU and sweeping No. 20 Georgia State. At the Palm Beach Invitational (March 18), the Lady of Troy fell to TCU. In the all-time series the Horned Frogs trail 10-2.
No. 1 UCLA (19-1) travels to the Pelican State with a 14-match win streak under their belt. The Bruins completed a perfect weekend at the East Meets West Invitational hosted in Manhattan Beach, Cali. The team saw wins over No. 12 Texas and No. 11 LSU, additionally sweeping No. 8 Florida State and No. 19 FIU. The Horned Frogs trail in the all-time series 6-2.
