FROG FOCUS
After their second conference championship completion, the Frogs are ready to run it back under the new sponsorship of the Big 12 Conference for the program's eleventh season. The Horned Frogs are ranked No. 2 in the AVCA Preseason Coaches poll, the highest the program has debuted for a season.
TCU returns 18 players from last year's roster including Hailey Hamlett, Anhelina Khmil and Olivia Clines. Hamlett and Khmil shined in the No. 1 spot for the Frogs last year, earning AVCA All-American First Team and AVCA Top-Flight recognitions. Additionally, Hamlett held the best individual record, 30-6, for the 2024 season. As a key member in securing TCU's CUSA Conference Championship, Clines was rewarded CUSA Freshman of the Year in the postseason.
Daniela Alvarez, Maria Gonzalez and Tania Moreno also made their way back to Fort Worth, after taking a gap year to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the City of Love, Alvarez and Moreno placed fifth.
The trio were pivotal contributors to TCU's historic 2023 season, which featured Alvarez and Moreno as AVCA Pair of the Year, TCU holding six consecutive weeks in the No. 1 spot and the program's first NCAA Final Four Appearance.
They are one of seven Horned Frogs who have the potential to notch their 100th collegiate career win this season: Alvarez, Gonzalez, Hamlett, Moreno, Anete Namike, Allanis Navas (a D1 transfer from GCU) and Ana Vergara.
