Horned Frogs hunting eighth straight win in visit to Lubbock
FORT WORTH – No. 11 TCU heads to the panhandle looking to extend its record-setting start to Big 12 play in a Saturday night battle vs. Texas Tech.
The Horned Frogs are one of two remaining unbeatens in the 16-team league ahead of their clash with the Lady Raiders. TCU will notch just its second 5-0 start to conference play in its 48-season existence with a win in Lubbock. The Frogs first accomplished the feat in 2000-01 – the year of the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance – while members of the Western Athletic Conference.
TCU is 8-2 over its last 10 Big 12 tilts, a run that includes a 73-52 win against Texas Tech on Feb. 28 in the teams' last collision.
