Horned Frogs will embark on a 20-game conference schedule
FORT WORTH – TCU will open Big 12 Conference play at Arizona on Dec. 30 as the complete men's schedule was announced by the league office.
As part of a new 20-game conference schedule, the Horned Frogs will open their home Big 12 slate on Jan. 4 against Kansas State. Other home games include Baylor, BYU, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, UCF and West Virginia. The nine road games in addition to Arizona are Arizona State, Baylor, UCF, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Texas Tech, West Virginia.
Opponents were selected based on a combination of geography, historical results and a poll of the coaches to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness.Â
Television networks and game times will be announced at a later date.
In its new alignment, the Big 12 boasts nine teams coming off a trip to March Madness, after leading the nation and setting a Conference record with eight bids to the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. The Big 12 has finished the season with the nation's best average NET ranking for four consecutive seasons, cementing its status as the top league in the sport.
