
Men Grab Third Straight Meet Win at Texas A&M Invitational

Horned Frogs continue historic start to 2024 season
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU cross country keeps making history in 2024. After earning its first male Big 12 Runner of the Week honor on Tuesday, the men continued to rewrite the record books, winning their third straight team title of the year at the Texas A&M Invitational Friday morning.
"Winning three consecutive races is a testament to the hard work, dedication and unity of our team," said Director of Track and Field Khadevis Robinson. "The TCU men's cross country squad is showing what's possible when talent, preparation and belied come together. We're making history and proving that anything is achievable when we run as one."
In their first 8k action of the season, the TCU men didn't disappoint. The Frogs, led by five individuals in the top 10, managed to edge out the Aggies by three points, 36-39, for their third consecutive team title to start the season. Racing a 5k, the women grabbed a fifth-place team finish overall in the field of 16. The Frogs finished as the top Big 12 school in the meet on both sides, as Baylor and Houston were represented.
Graydon Morris led the men's squad, crossing the finish line second with a 23:27.7. It marked a career-best time for the senior from Aledo, Texas, by over 30 seconds. He was followed by a pack of Frogs, who piled into the top 10. Johnson Lagat posted a 23:50.3, followed closely by CJ Meyer and Noah Winters with times of 23:51.0 and 23:51.6, respectively. Defending Big 12 Cross Country Runner of the Week, Tate Underwood secured a 10th place finish for TCU with a 23:52.2.
On the women's side, Tabitha Ngao finished sixth overall in the field of 155 runners. The reigning Big 12 Runner of the Week has seen a steady progression in her 5k this season, once again running a season-best 17:22.0. Sophomore Mckenzie Bailey placed 18th for the Frogs, notching a top 20 finish. Ava Santora, Olivia Andrews and Gabby Martin all rounded out the scoring runners for the women.
