
TCU Men Earn Best Finish in Program History at Big 12 Championships

Horned Frogs place sixth and 14th as a team
WACO, Texas – TCU cross country began postseason racing on Friday morning at the Big 12 Championships, where the Horned Frogs' men earned their best finish in program history, placing sixth behind five nationally ranked programs.
The dream season for the TCU men continued as they narrowly edged out Kansas 222-223 for sixth place as a team in the men's 8k race out of 13 teams. The Frogs finished behind No. 2 BYU (41), No. 1 Oklahoma State (52), No. 4 Iowa State (62), No. 30 Texas Tech (101) and No. 24 Colorado (122).
Graydon Morris and Johnson Lagat led the way, finishing inside the top 50 overall at 38th and 48th, respectively. Tate Underwood was the next Frog to cross the line, securing 46 points with a 57th place finish. Seniors Stone Burke and Noah Winters went out with a bang, posting times of 24:23.89 and 24:27.28, respectively, to help secure the best finish in TCU history.
For the women, the Frogs ran their way to a 14th place finish overall in the 6k as teams nine through 15 were separated by just 75 points. TCU totaled 371 points, with Tabith Ngao, Mckenzie Bailey and Olivia Andrew all inside the top 100. Ava Santora finished 104th, and Gabby Martin followed in 111th.
