The Horned Frogs kick off the quest for the NCAA title
GULF SHORES, Ala. – The No. 2-ranked TCU beach volleyball team (35-2) starts the quest for a National Championship. The single elimination tournament begins on Friday. The Horned Frogs will go head-to-head with 15th-seeded Stetson Hatters (22-14) in the first round. The match will take place at 1 p.m. in Gulf Shores, Ala. with the winner advancing to play the winner of No. 10 Stanford vs. No. 7 GCU on Friday in the Elite 8.
This marks the first time the NCAA Beach Volleyball tournament will be a single elimination tournament.

TCU is making its third straight appearance in the championship tournament. The appearance comes on the heels of the best season in program history. Along the way, the Frogs won their first-ever CCSA Conference Championship. The Horned Frogs are the Field of 16's No. 2 seed.
The Horned Frogs achieved their first-ever No. 1 ranking this season and carried that distinction for six consecutive weeks. TCU won 166 of 186 matches played this season, tallying a program-best 25 match sweeps, 16 wins against ranked opponents and a third straight unbeaten home season.
Six Frogs reached career milestones this season. Rochelle Scott collected her 100th career win in the CCSA tournament. Hailey Brockett and Kate Privette all joined the 100 win club earlier this season. Daniela Alvarez, Tania Moreno and Maria Gonzalez reached their 75th win milestone.
Last season, the Frogs went 1-2 to finish tied for seventh after recording their first-ever win in the tournament against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
The Horned Frogs have played 10 of the 15 opponents in this year's tournament field. TCU went 16-2 against those 10 opponents.
TCU will take on a Stetson team that it faced once during season. The Hatters come into the tournament after winning the Atlantic Sun 2023 Conference Championship. Stetson was the No. 1 seed in the ASUN tournament and swept their way to their seventh conference title.
Overall, the Horned Frogs lead the all-time series against the Hatters with a record of 5-2. The last matchup against Stetson resulted in TCU sweeping the team in March at the North Florida Invite.
