FROG FOCUS
TCU returns to Fort Worth one more time this year for their last home tournament. The Horned Frogs are riding a 36-home match win streak dating back-to-back to March 6, 2020. The Frogs are also perfect against teams from Texas, 33-0.
The Horned Frogs remained No. 1 for the fifth week in a row after another perfect weekend in Jacksonville, Fla. The team swept all four of its opponents at the North Florida Invite, the second time this year the Frogs have swept all four opponents in a weekend. TCU's four victories now have the Frogs at 24-0, which includes 18 sweeps and 16 ranked wins.
The Frogs hit a season-high this past weekend with nine Frogs delivering perfect 4-0 weekends: Daniela Alvarez, Hailey Brockett, Maria Gonzalez, Hailey Hamlett, Anhelina Khmil, Sutton MacTavish, Kate Privett, Tania Moreno and Rochelle Scott.
Additionally, Gonzalez hit her own milestone, recording her 75th career win last Friday.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Florida Gulf Coast (10-12) travels to Fort Worth to face off against the Frogs for the third time this season. TCU has won both meetings against the Eagles this season, most recently last weekend at the North Florida Invite. TCU's Saturday victory over FGCU broke the tie in all time history, giving TCU a 2-1 series lead.
Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (18-8) heads to TCU's home territory after a 3-0 weekend hosting the Conni and Jay Wise Islander Classic. This is the second time the Horned Frogs will face off against the Islanders this season. TCU swept Corpus Christi in the previous meeting back in February to remain undefeated, 13-0, against the Islanders.
UTEP (4-18) challenges TCU for the first time in program history at the TCU Tournament. The Miners come off a 1-4 weekend at the Wildcat Spring Challenge in Tucson, Ariz. UTEP beat Missouri State 3-2. In the match, the Miner's No. 2 pairing scored the first ranked match point for the program against No. 18 Arizona.
Houston Christian (12-11) travels up the road after competing in the Conni and Jay Wise Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Huskies went 1-3 over the weekend, their lone win coming against Stephen F. Austen. TCU opened their season at Houston Christian's Third Coast College Classic, where the Frogs swept all teams including the Huskies. TCU leads the all-time series, 11-0.
