FORT WORTH – TCU has added another multi-dimensional playmaker to its backcourt ahead of the 2023-2024 season.
Head coach Mark Campbell announced the signing of Cal State Fullerton transfer guard Una Jovanovic on Saturday.
Jovanovic, 5-9, played two seasons for the Titans from 2021-2023. She led CSUF in points per game (14.6) and assists per game (3.8) on her way to All-Big West conference second team accolades in 2022-2023. Jovanovic started all 30 games and averaged 38 minutes per contest.
From Santa Clara, California, Jovanovic was a volume scorer for the Titans last winter. She eclipsed double figures in 80 percent (24-30) of her outings. Jovanovic delivered six 20-point performances, twice scoring a career-high 26 points in conference victories over UC Davis and UC San Diego. Her shooting percentages remained robust while shouldering a heavy offensive load. She connected at a 43 percent clip from the field and knocked down 84 percent of her free throws. Jovanovic shot 50 percent-or-better and scored in double digits 11 times.
Jovanovic served as the Titans' primary ball handler throughout her sophomore season. She dished out five-or-more dimes on eight occasions and finished with a career-best seven assists in a pair of victories over UC San Diego.
She also averaged 3.5 rebounds per game, which ranked fourth on the squad and second among all guards.
Jovanovic became the first two-time Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honoree in 2022-2023 in January. She received the citation for the first time in her career on Jan. 16 behind a 26-point, 11-rebound effort in a home victory over UC Davis. Her 11 boards were a career high. Jovanovic then repeated as the award-winner two weeks later after averaging 20.5 points and five rebounds per night over the course of two victories.
As a freshman in 2021-2022, Jovanovic carved out rotation minutes that planted the seeds for her transformation into a Power Five caliber player. She averaged 15.4 minutes per game while appearing in all 29 contests. Jovanovic also earned five starts.
Jovanovic played her prep ball at Pinewood High School, where she received All-NorCal first team honors in 2021. She led the team in scoring her junior and senior seasons.
She will be a junior and have three years to play two seasons for TCU.
