TCU Takes on Richmond
Fort Worth: The TCU Horned Frogs return to the purple courts for a matchup against the Richmond Spiders on Monday, Mar. 6 at 2:30 p.m. This match will be the first time these two programs matchup with each other.
TCU (6-2) is on a two game skid looking to return to their winning ways against Richmond (4-7). The Horned Frogs hold the No. 44 doubles team in the country. Helena Narmont and Yu-Chin Tsai are currently holding a perfect 6-1 duo record. A duo of Frogs have also tallied ranked wins this season. Tiphanie Lemaitre knocked off the No. 75 ranked singles player in the country. Captain Mercedes Aristegui improved her resume with defeated ITA's No. 73 ranked singles player leading her to Conference honors. She was named Big 12 player of the week on Feb. 7, the second of her career.
Defending Home Court: TCU is 6-1 this season with at home with quality wins versus Alabama and Ole Miss. The Horned Frogs had the best start in the Big 12 era with six straight wins.
Last Time Out: A trio of Frogs represented TCU at the Spring 25K in Spring, Texas. Jade Otway won three matches against some tough opponents. Lemaitre qualified for the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles pushing her WTA ranking to 535 in singles and 377 in doubles. Aristegui collected a singles win as well.
