
TCU WTEN: Set for Big 12 Play in Oklahoma

Fort Worth: TCU Women's tennis is set for the start of Big 12 play with a road trip to No. 17 Oklahoma State, Friday March 17 and Sunday, March 19 No. 22 Oklahoma. First serve on Friday is set for 5 p.m. and Sunday's match will begin at noon.
The Horned Frogs (7-2) are coming off a bounce back win at home against the Richmond Spiders. TCU is looking forward to their first ranked opponent of the season with two top 25 teams in Oklahoma State (9-4) and Oklahoma (10-6).

Heading into Big 12 play, the Horned Frogs are 7-2 this season with notable wins against SEC opponents. TCU has played in just one away match so far this season, a loss to UCF. At home, the Frogs are 7-1 with victories over Alabama and Ole Miss.
Scouting the Cowgirls:
No. 17 Oklahoma State currently holds a 2-0 Big 12 record with ranked wins against Texas and Baylor. The Cowgirls have played seven ranked opponents this season and have gone 3-4 against those foes. Oklahoma state's third win came versus No. 41 South Carolina. They are led by the No. 109 ranked singles player Alana Wolfberg who is 6-5 on the season with a 5-1 record on the No. 2 singles court. Wolfberg is 1-5 this season against ranked opponents. Ayumi Miyamoto provides strong support for the Cowgirls on the No. 4 and No. 5 courts with 3-0 and 7-2 records, respectively. On the doubles side, the Cowgirls slot the No. 31 duos team in the nation with Miyamoto and Raquel Gonzales.

After coming off a National Championship appearance in 2022, Oklahoma has accumulated 10 wins this year. The Sooners most notable win came against No. 4 Duke, 4-2. Oklahoma is led by senior Carmen Corley who is ranked No. 97 holding 9-9 singles record this season. She and her sister Ivana Corley are slotted at the No. 32 spot in the lastest rankings. The Sooners possess a top 10 doubles team according to ITA with Layne Sleeth and Alexandra Pisareva won are 11-2 this year with most of the wins coming on the No. 2 doubles court.
Ranked Frogs:
As it stands, TCU has the No. 43 doubles team in the country. Helena Narmont and Yu-Chin Tsai are currently undefeated holding a 6-1 duos record. A duo of Frogs have also tallied ranked wins this season. Tiphanie Lemaitre knocked off the No. 75 ranked singles player in the country. Captain Mercedes Aristegui improved her resume with defeated ITA's No. 73 ranked singles player leading her to Conference honors. She was named Big 12 player of the week on Feb. 7, the second of her career.
