
TCU Drops First Conference Match

Frogs Fall 4-1
STILLWATER, Okla. - The TCU women's tennis team fell to No. 17 Oklahoma St. on Friday wrapping up their first conference match of the season, 4-1.
The Horned Frogs (7-3) fell just short during the doubles point with an adjusted lineup against the Cowgirls (10-4).
On court No. 1 Yu-Chin Tsai and Helena Narmont dropped their doubles match to No. 31 Ayumi Miyamoto and Raquel Gonzalez 6-1. The duo of Destinee Martins and Tiphanie Lemaitre put the doubles point in the balance with their 6-4 victory. Jade Otway and Mercedes Aristegui took the doubles point to a tiebreaker against OSU's Sofia Rojas and Kristina Novak. At six apiece Otway and Aristegui came up just short, falling 7-3 in the tiebreaker.
On court one, Lemaitre kept the Frogs in the fight with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 victory for the Frogs first point of the match.
The Cowgirls took control of the rest of the match during singles play. Martins fell in a tightly contested match (6-2, 7-5).
Competing on court five, Tsai fell to Miyamoto in a 6-4, 6-2 decision. Down 3-1, Narmont dropped her singles match on court six in a 6-2, 6-4 loss.
