TCU will take on four nationally ranked teams in Tallahassee
FORT WORTH -- No. 2 TCU beach volleyball (28-1) travels to Tallahassee, Florida for the Unconquered Invitational this weekend, April 8-9. The Horned Frogs are set to face five opponents, four of them nationally ranked, No. 19 Stetson, No. 15 Florida International, No. 4 FSU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and No. 5 LSU.

FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs enter the weekend with the best record in CCSA Conference history (28-1). TCU is coming off a tough week facing Top 10 opponents at the Mapes Beach Invitational and the UCLA Invitational. The Frogs left Los Angeles with a 4-1 record collecting two wins over No. 1 UCLA, one over No. 5 Loyola Marymount and one over No. 9 Hawaii before suffering its only loss of the year to No. 3 (now No. 1) USC.
Megan Muret and Rochelle Scott continued their incredible season, winning all five of their matches last week. Four out of their five victories were taken in straight sets for an average margin of victory of 4.5 points. The duo's hot streak in the sand extends to 15 consecutive matches, tying teammates Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno, for longest winning streak by a pair in program history. They total 15 ranked victories, the most this season, with a seasonal record of 23-1.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
No. 19 Stetson, 12-12, travels to Tallahassee, Florida after spending the weekend in Columbia, South Carolina for the Carolina Challenge. The Hatters are coming off a 3-1 weekend taking victories over No. 14 South Carolina, Jacksonville and UNCW. The last time Stetson met up with TCU was during the Horned Frog Challenge, last month, in Fort Worth where the Frogs took a 5-0 victory over the Hatters. TCU leads the all-time series 3-2.
No. 15 Florida International, 15-5, also spent the weekend in Los Angeles for the UCLA Invitational. The Panthers are coming off a 0-5 weekend, suffering losses to No. 1 UCLA, No. 9 Hawaii, No. 5 LMU and No. 3 USC. This is the first time this season that TCU will go toe-to-toe with FIU. The last time the two met up was when the Frogs took two 3-2 wins over the Panthers last season.
The No. 4 Florida State Seminoles, 19-5, spent their weekend at the North Florida Invite in Jacksonville, Florida. The Seminoles went 3-4 on the weekend suffering their loss to No. 18 Pepperdine. TCU has already met up with FSU twice this season, taking victories with both encounters.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 18-8, is coming off a 2-1 showing at home for the Conni and Jay Wise Islander Classic. The Islander's sole loss of the weekend came from No. 17 Arizona. The last time TAMUCC met up with TCU was earlier this year during the Fight in the Fort when the Frogs took a 5-0 victory over the Islanders. TCU has never lost to an opponent from Texas, they stay perfect, 25-0, against Texas teams.
No. 5 LSU, 21-6, also hails from Los Angeles after spending their weekend at the UCLA Invitational. The Tigers posted a 2-2 weekend, suffering losses to No. 3 USC and No. 1 UCLA. TCU and LSU will go toe-to-toe for the second time this season on Saturday, this time on neutral sand, in Tallahassee, Florida. When both teams faced off earlier this season, the Horned Frogs claimed a 4-1 victory over the Tigers in Baton Rouge.
