The Horned Frogs achieve 26 straight wins at home

FORT WORTH -- No. 2 TCU beach volleyball (34-2) completed a perfect first day at the TCU Invitational. The Horned Frogs swept Missouri State, 5-0, and defeated No. 9 Stanford, 3-2, to notch their 15^th perfect day of the season.

TCU continues its perfect home showing by achieving their 11^th home victory of the season. The Frogs' all-time home winning streak now extends to 26-matches, dating back to the 2020 season (March 2020).

So far, TCU has achieved 19 ranked wins this season, smashing last year's program record of 10. The Frogs have totaled 19 wins vs. Top 20, 13 vs. Top 10 and six vs. Top 5 opponents.

Four Frogs delivered a perfect 2-0 day: Hailey Hamlett, Hailey Brockett, Maria Gonzalez and Ana Vergara. Hamlett and Brockett partnered up for the Missouri State match but then were joined by different partners, Kaylie McHugh and Alexis Filippone for the Stanford match. Gonzalez and Vergara played both matches together taking all victories of the day in straight sets.

QUICK HITS AGAINST MISSOURI STATE:

Hayley Boll and Caroline White scored the first point of the day from the No. 4 position in a massive straight-set victory: 21-8, 21-8.
It is both seniors first appearance and victory as a pairing.
White made her season debut against the Bears and Boll notched her 4th victory of the season.
Megan Muret and Rochelle Scott took the next point for the Frogs in a straight set victory from No. 5: 21-11, 21-11.
The duo claimed their 26^th win as partners.
Tania Moreno and Luana Araco clinched the match in a dominant straight-set victory from the No. 1 position: 21-9, 21-9.
The duo notched their first victory as a pairing.
Moreno claimed her 27th win.
Maria Gonzalez and Ana Vergara, making their first appearance together at the No. 3 position, scored the fourth consecutive point for the Frogs: 21-8, 21-15.
The pairing achieved their 25^th win as partners.
Hailey Hamlett and Hailey Brockett sealed the sweep with their two-set victory at No. 2: 22-20, 21-14.
The duo remains perfect as partners, 3-0.
Hamlett improved her seasonal record to 19-8, Brockett to 23-6.
TCU took all five match victories against Missouri State in straight sets (20-0).
The Horned Frogs remain perfect, 3-0, against the Bears.

QUICK HITS AGAINST No. 9 STANFORD:

Gonzalez and Vergara secured the first point of the dual for TCU in their straight-set victory on No. 4: 21-7, 24-22.
The duo notched their 17th ranked win of the season.
The pairing improved their record to 26-4.
After losing the next two points to Stanford, Brockett and Filippone tied the match 2-2 with their victory from the No. 3 position: 21-15, 21-13.
The duo claimed their 17th win and 7^th ranked victory as partners.
Brockett improved her seasonal record to 24-6, Filippone to 22-9.
McHugh and Hamlett secured the TCU victory from the No. 3 position in a three-set nailbiter: 21-15, 14-21, 15-13.
The duo came back from a four-point deficit to claim the win over Stanford.
The pairing improved their seasonal record to 3-1.
Hamlett notched her 20th win, McHugh her 14th.
TCU remains perfect, 2-0, over Stanford.

The Horned Frogs will continue play tomorrow at the TCU Invitational. The Frogs will open the day against No. 16 Pepperdine at 11:30 a.m. and close at 3:30 against HBU. Shortly thereafter, TCU will recognize its six seniors with a senior day ceremony.
