FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs carry their program record five-match home sweep streak into the match tomorrow after defeating Houston, 4-0, last Tuesday. TCU has won all five of its home matches this season, 4-0, with the lone blemish on the schedule coming on the road, at Wisconsin.
TCU is 5-0 at No. 1 singles this year, thanks to three wins from Alisa Soloveva and two from Mercedes Aristegui. The Horned Frogs are 17-4 in singles matches this season and 15-0 in home singles matches. Freshman Jade Otway leads the team in wins this season, with seven (4-0 singles, 3-1 doubles), playing No. 4-6 in singles and No. 2-3 in doubles. Soloveva has been perfect this season, posting a 6-0 record (3-0 singles, 3-0 doubles).
The Horned Frogs lead the all-time series with North Texas, 22-2. TCU took down UNT last season, 4-2, dropping the doubles point before winning four of five singles matches. Addy Guevara clinched the dual last season with a three-set win at No. 5.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
UNT enters the dual with a 4-0 record. The Mean Green are no strangers to the Bayard H. Friedman tennis center, defeating Abilene Christian (4-0) and Arkansas State (6-1) in neutral site meetings at the purple courts back in January. UNT followed that with wins over New Mexico State and Lamar. UNT is looking for its first win over a Power 5 opponent since 2019, when they took down Arizona, in Denton.
