Rifle Finishes Second at Patriot Rifle Conference Championship

TCU competed virtually over the weekend
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's rifle team placed second in smallbore (2,345) and in air rifle (2,381) at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships. The Frogs finished second overall with their aggregate score of 4,726.
Due to weather, the team was unable to travel to Colorado to compete; however, the conference allowed them to shoot virtually at the TCU Rifle Range.
Stephanie Allan and Kristen Hemphill led the team in smallbore on the first day, both firing a 587 and placing in the top 10 in the discipline. Stephanie Grundsoee fired a 586 to also place in the top 10. Abigail Gordon and Anne White both served as counters in the match, shooting a 585 and 583, respectively. While not contributing the team's score, Nina Schuett fired a 580.
White led the team in air rifle, firing a 597. Gordon and Schuett both shot a 595 and placed in the top 10 in the discipline. Grundsoee also finished in the top 10, firing a 594. Hemphill served as a counter and shot a 592. Allan rounded out the TCU shooters with her 588.
TCU will travel to El Paso to take on UTEP Saturday, Feb. 12.
