Beach Volleyball opens its spring season in Tallahassee, Florida
FORT WORTH – No. 4 TCU beach volleyball begins its 2022 season this weekend at the Seminole Beach Bash in Tallahassee, Fla. The Frogs will play four matches over the weekend, including two against Top 15-ranked opponents.

FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs begin their eighth season with plenty of optimism after a record-breaking year. The team comes off the greatest season in program history which featured the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance, the program's first All-Americans and a 26-10 record.
TCU returns 13 players from last year's roster, including three All-Americans, Daniela Alvarez (2021), Tania Moreno (2021) and Hailey Brockett (2021). With the addition of All-American Transfer Kaylie McHugh (2018 at Tulane), the Horned Frogs start the 2022 season with four All-Americans.
Rising sophomore Alvarez was selected as Preseason Player of the Year and one of three unanimous All-Conference selections. Moreno and Brockett were also named to the Preseason CCSA All-Conference Team this season.
Other notable newcomers include transfers include Alexis Filippone (Pepperdine), Sutton MacTavish (Pepperdine) and Megan Muret (UCLA). Alongside McHugh, these four student-athletes will provide a new level of experience to a TCU squad that was the youngest representative at the NCAA tournament last spring.
Ana Vergara joins the Horned Frogs for her freshman season. She is reunited with her Team Spain teammates, Alvarez and Moreno. This summer, Moreno and Vergara took ninth place in both the U21 and U19 World Championships in Thailand.
The Horned Frogs will have two ranked matches this weekend. TCU claimed 9 wins, the most in program history, over ranked opponents last season.
