
Three Second Half Goals Propel TCU To Victory

FORT WORTH – TCU knocked home three second half goals to pick up a 3-1 victory over Houston Sunday afternoon at Garvey-Rosenthal. Gracie Brian scored a pair of goals, while Camryn Lancaster scored for the second straight game. Messiah Bright contributed a pair of assists in the win.
The Rundown
TCU and Houston played a scoreless first half with the Cougars holding a slight edge in shots, 7-6. It was the Horned Frogs that had the best look of the half as Camryn Lancaster rang a shot off the crossbar in the dying moments of the frame.
The Frogs finally found the back of the net in the 58th minute. Brandi Peterson started the rush toward goal and fed Messiah Bright. Fancy footwork got Bright free of her defender and she found an open Gracie Brian at the top of the 18. Brian picked her corner for her first tally of the game and a 1-0 lead.
Just over seven minutes later, Brian struck again. Grace Collins crossed the ball to Brian on the far post. Her initial header was blocked by a Cougar defender, but she stayed with the rebound and found the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.
The Frogs tallied again in the 82nd minute. Lancaster didn't miss this time as she fired home a Bright feed to make it a 3-0 game.
Houston avoided the shutout with a goal in the 86th minute off of a free kick.

2 – Gracie Brian scored the game's first two goals. It's the second time this season and the fourth time in her career she has had a two-goal game.
