Frogs snap season-high five-game winning streak
FORT WORTH – Chuck O'Bannon Jr. scored a career-high 18 points, but No. 6 Kansas' hot shooting was too much for TCU to overcome in a 93-64 loss on Tuesday inside Schollmaier Arena.
O'Bannon was 6-of-9 from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, and both were career highs for makes. The transfer from USC also recorded a team-high six rebounds. RJ Nembhard joined O'Bannon in double-figures for TCU (9-3, 2-2 Big 12) with 14 points and dished out a team-high six assists. Five players scored in double-figures for Kansas (9-2, 3-1 Big 12) , which shot a season-best 56.5 percent from the floor and outrebounded TCU 41-20.
Kansas made seven of its first 10 shots to jump out to a 17-8 lead through the first 5:45 of the contest. The Jayhawks continued their accurate shooting and wound up shooting 64.3 percent from floor in the first half. TCU trailed 49-35 at the half and was led by Chuck O'Bannon Jr., who scored a career-high 12 points in the first half alone.
The Jayhawks jumped out to a 10-2 run over the first 2:24 of the second half to expand their lead to 22 points. TCU struggled to mount a comeback in the closing minutes, shooting 32 percent over the final 11 minutes of the game, as Kansas sealed a 93-64 win.

TCU will host No. 2 Baylor (9-0, 2-0 Big 12) on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
