Horned Frogs to host Bobcats in non-conference home finale

THE GAME
• The TCU Horned Frogs (8-1, 0-0) will close out its home slate against non-conference opponents taking on the Texas State Bobcats (6-3, 0-0) this Sunday, Dec. 22.
• Tip-off between the Horned Frogs and Bobcats is set for 12 p.m. inside Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena.
• Sunday's contest will mark the 11th meeting between the two programs, but the first since the 2017-18 season. TCU won the last meeting, 82-58, back on Nov. 18, 2017, in Fort Worth.

FROG FAST BREAKS
• TCU is coming off a 70-72 home win over Ohio this past Sunday in Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs outscored the Bobcats 25-9 in the fourth quarter to erase a nine-point deficit and collect the win.
• TCU pushed its non-conference home winning streak to 23 straight games with the win over Ohio. A win over Texas State would give the Horned Frogs 24 straight victories over non-conference opponents at home - a streak that dates back to Dec. 1, 2017.
• Head coach Raegan Pebley is in her sixth season at the helm of the Horned Frog program. Pebley has compiled a record of 103-72 on the sidelines in Fort Worth, while donning an overall record of 259-247 in 17 seasons.
• TCU currently ranks No. 16 in the latest edition of the NCAA RPI rankings. The Horned Frogs rank as the highest Big 12 team, six spots higher than No. 22 Baylor.
• TCU received votes in both the AP Top-25 Poll and USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll. This marks a third straight week for the Horned Frogs to earn votes in the AP Poll, but the first week on the season to receive votes in both polls.

• Texas State heads into the weekend with a 6-3 overall record, but coming off a 72-62 road loss to Morgan State on Wednesday.
• Prior to the loss, the Bobcats had won four straight dating back to Nov. 27.
• The Bobcats are 5-0 when playing in San Marcos, but just 1-3 on the road. Texas State's lone road win was a 61-51 victory at Dartmouth on Dec. 15.
• The Bobcats rank just 228th in the nation with a 62.8 points per game scoring offense, but the Texas State defense yields just 55.1 points to opposing teams, which ranks first in the Sun Belt and 28th in the nation.
• Da'Nasia Hood leads the team with 11.4 points per game, while Brooke Holle has a team-leading 6.0 rebounds per game average.
• Holle also leads the team with 24 steals.
