TCU bounced back and trailed by just three points (55-52) following a pair of free throws from Woods, but Ohio closed out the quarter with an 8-2 run and led 63-54 heading into the fourth quarter.
A three-pointer from Kianna Ray and a three-point play from Woods cut the deficit to three points, but just a few minutes later Ohio pushed its lead to 69-64 with 6:06 left to play. Woods opened a 9-0 run with a bucket and then following an Ohio three-pointer to make it a 73-72 game in favor of the Frogs, TCU would close out the frame scoring the game's final six points to earn the seven-point victory.
STAT OF THE GAME

QUOTABLE
"Ohio was a late add for us when coming up with our schedule for this season," said head coach Raegan Pebley. "We were looking for a good game to add and they gave us everything we were looking for. That is about as short of a rotation I have used here at TCU, but they were just a really tough match-up for us, playing five complete guards. Playing our true posts was a tougher match-up.
"I loved our fourth-quarter grit and toughness, but even in the third we were doing things better, but it wasn't always producing for us right away. We just kept staying at it and didn't get defeated. I challenged them at the end of the third, telling them we were down nine, but by the next timeout this game is going to be tied."
UP NEXT
TCU wraps up its home slate of non-conference opponents next Sunday, hosting Texas State. Tip-off between the Horned Frogs and Bobcats is set for 12 p.m. at Schollmaier Arena.
