Frogs host undefeated Pittsburgh
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's soccer team will wrap up a season-long five game homestand Thursday night when it hosts undefeated Pittsburgh (3-0-1) at 7 p.m. The game will be televised on FSSW+.
TCU NOTABLES
• TCU is undefeated after four games for the second time in three years (2016) and the third time (2008) in program history.
• TCU ranks second in the Big 12 and ninth nationally with an average of 22.75 shots per game.
• The Horned Frogs eight goals are ranked third in the Big 12. Eight Frogs have contributed to the goals scored this season.
• Five of TCU's six goals scored last week were the first career tallies for the goal-scorers.
• Emily Alvarado posted her first career complete-game shutout in Thursday's win over Stephen F. Austin.
• Maddy Warren became the first Frog this season to contribute to a pair of goals in a game, scoring a goal and assisting on one against SFA.
PITT NOTABLES
• Pittsburgh enters the weekend undefeated at 3-0-1 and has twice played in overtime, going 1-0-1 in those contests. All three Panther victories have been one-goal wins.
• Anna Rico leads the Panthers with three of their six goals scored on the season. She also paces the team with 20 shots, 11 of which have been on goal.
• Dixon Veltri has a team-high two assists in addition to one game-winning goal.
• In goal, Amaia Pena has played every minute in goal this season. She has a .864 save percentage in addition to her 0.69 goals against average.

• Thursday's meeting against Pitt will be the first between the two programs.
• The Panthers are one of two new opponents on TCU's schedule this season (Butler).
FIRST TIMERS
TCU scored six goals last week to give them eight on the season. Of those six goals, five were the first career goals for the goal scorers.
Messiah Bright's tally stood up as the game-winner against SFA. Also scoring for the first time in the contest were Maddy Warren and Tatum Condrey.
In Sunday's tie against SMU, Isabelle Juarez and Ariana Owens tallied to help the Frogs rally.

Similar to 2017 when TCU ranked as the third-best offense in the Big 12 with an average of 4.68 points per game and 1.55 goals per game, the 2018 squad is carrying the trend into this season
The Horned Frogs rank fourth in points per game (5.00) and third in goals scored (8).
Eight Frogs have contributed to the eight goals scored and two others have pitched in with assists giving TCU 10 players with at least one point this year.
Since Eric Bell's arrival on campus, TCU is averaging 27.8 (1.38 GPG) goals per season, 28.3 (1.40 APG) assists per season and 84 (4.16 points per game) points per season.
POSSESSION GAME
TCU is averaging 22.75 shots per game this season. Conversely, the Frogs are allowing just 5.75 shots per game. In all four games this year, the Frogs have surpassed double-digits in shots and have yet to surrender more than nine in a game.
