TCU Opens Play at the Big 12 Championship

With expected rain Saturday, the tournament format was altered to 36 holes Friday. The final 18 is still Sunday.

The Horned Frogs, who lowered their score by four strokes in the afternoon round, are in eighth place. Texas holds the team lead by one shot over Baylor.
"I'm really disappointed and the team is disappointed," TCU women's golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "We didn't play well at all. Nothing fell. It's not really what we were looking for, but we've just got to regroup and come back strong that last day."
Greta Bruner is the top Horned Frog individually, as she's tied for 15th at 6-over-par 150. The sophomore from Conroe, Texas, had a second-round 74 after a 76. She closed her day with a birdie, one of her four in the second round and team-best seven on the day. In the first round, she had consecutive birdies to close the front nine and begin the back nine.
TCU's Grace Do is tied for 25th at 153. The Horned Frogs' lone freshman had consecutive birdies on the front nine and a total of three in the second round. She had four birdies on the day.
Emmy Martin totaled four second-round birdies, including three in her opening eight holes.
Annika Clark began her day with a birdie and had two in the opening round.
