"Today showed us how capable we are and some areas we can keep pushing to improve. Our team is very young and the future and this shows through taking all 4 MOP's."
The Rundown
The Frogs started strong in Fences, topping Baylor 3-2. Seniors Marisa Malevitis and Jayme Omand pulled their weight along with newcomer Raegan Rast, each winning their point against the Bears. Raegan Rast's 78-point ride made an impression, and she earned her second Fences MOP accolade of the season.
In Horsemanship, TCU pulled through with two points won in the Frogs' favor by sophomore duo Josie Mootz and Laska Anderson. Mootz' point atop Flash against Baylor's Charlotte Green earned her an MOP title, riding to a 76.5-73 decision. It was a close ride for sophomore Cydney Benes whose ride almost matched Baylor's Abbi Demel, 69-69.5.
On the Flat, the seniors made a showing once again. Jayme Omand, Emelie Burgess and Carley Barnett's rides all earned a point for the Frogs, with Burgess' 78-point ride atop Pim earning herself an MOP accolade for the second time in her career.
In Reining, the freshmen held strong with Adrianna Adams and Josie Ferrante winning their points for TCU. Ferrante's 72-point ride over Baylor's Sydney Scheckel earned her the first MOP of her young career.
